Inter District Transfer Timelines

  • KESD will start accepting inter district transfer requests for the upcoming school year on March 1st. Parent or legal guardian who submit a NEW request must provide all required documents in order for transfer approval consideration.

  • Parents will be notified by the middle of July, or no later than 14 calendar days after instruction has commenced for the requested school year.

  • Parent or legal guardian who submits a new transfer request for the current school year must provide all required documents for their request to be processed. All transfer decisions will be made after required documents have been received. Parents will be notified by mail within 30 calendar days of the completed inter district transfer request.

  • Failure to meet required timelines established by the KESD for required documentation or enrollment, KESD will deem the inter district transfer request rescinded/abandoned.
